Paul Pelosi’s DUI arrest video shows just how messed up he was

As we reported previously, Paul Pelosi, the husband of Nancy Pelosi (D–CA), finally pleaded guilty to Tuesday’s misdemeanor charge of driving while impaired. What was his sentence? He was sentenced to five days imprisonment, three years probation and a three month drunk driving course. One year also included an ignition interlock system. Restitution must also be paid. We pointed out that the five-day sentence was a misspelling. Because he was arrested before midnight on May 28 and then let go around 7 a.m., he got credit for “two days served.” Then he got two days for “conduct credit.” So he’ll have to serve in one, eight-hour work program-probably doing something cushy.

Now, the video from the arrest has been released and shows how broken Pelosi really was. He’s unable to stand and must hold on to the car to avoid falling. He’s not understanding the officer’s instructions regarding sobriety tests.

The video confirms what the police reported in their complaint. He was speaking slowly and displaying “objective signs” of alcoholism. Pelosi claimed to the officer that he had a “glass of champagne” before dinner and also “a glass of white.” But it looks like a whole lot more than that. He told them he finished drinking around 8 p.m. but the crash happened around 10: 17 p.m. At the accident scene, he refused to undergo a breathtest HTML1. But even after stops at the hospital and the county jail, his blood alcohol taken over two hours later at around 12: 32 was still over the legal limit at .082.

While both declined treatment at the scene, the other driver later was suffering pain in his upper right arm, right shoulder, and neck the day after the crash. According to his complaint, he also reported headaches and stated that it was hard to lift items with his right arm.

Pelosi is lucky that he did not kill himself or the other driver. Take a look at how much damage his car sustained and those of the other drivers. He’s only getting a minor reprimand for causing significant damage to his car and the vehicle of the other driver.
