“Cute Photo Op”: Kari lake Criticizes Republican Governors for Busing Illegal Migrants to Major Cities

Republican Arizona governor nominee Kari lakes criticized Republican governors for busing illegal migrants to major cities during Friday’s Conservative Political Action Conference.

Lake stated that she would work with other states to send their National Guards into the U.S.-Mexico Border. Lake slammed the illegal immigration busses that were taking them to cities and states across the nation. She said the buses need to return these migrants across the border.

I don’t like the idea of illegally busing people. Lake stated that while it makes for cute photos, it only takes illegal immigrants and pushes them farther in. “I think we should bring the buses, drive them to the border, and then send them back the other way because we can’t have everybody coming in.”

She said many of the migrants, coming from over 150 countries, have a history of committing murders, sex and drug trafficking.

” We can’t allow these criminals to come in,” she said. They are not all criminals but they don’t want criminals or terrorists coming into our country. We don’t want anyone taking our jobs and driving down our wages to serve the cartels. We won’t be able to continue to exist .”

The busing of migrants is something that has been repeated in recent months, and this was under orders from Republican Governors. Greg Abbott from Texas and Doug Ducey, Arizona. The first bus, sent by Texas, dropped off 24 migrants in Washington, D.C., near the Fox News bureau April 13, then 14 more were dropped off the following day. A third bus reportedly dropped off 30 migrants. (RELATED: Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Kari Lake Vows To Declare ‘Invasion,’ Deploy Troops To Border On Day One)

Around 3,500 migrants have been bussed to the city from Texas and Arizona since April, according to the Washingtonian. Democratic D.C. Mayor Muriel bowser asked for the deployment of National Guard in order to combat the flow of migrants from Arizona and Texas into cities. Friday’s request was denied by Lloyd Austin, Secretary of the Department of Defense.

Bowser labeled the influx a “humanitarian crisis” as homeless shelters in Washington, D.C., have reportedly grown overwhelmed by the number of migrants being bussed to the city. Mayor Bowser expressed concern that migrants would be “tricked into” being sent to New York City.

On Friday, a bus carrying migrants from Texas arrived in New York City. Abbott released a statement.

Abbott’s plan came in response to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) initially planning to reverse Title 42, a Trump-era COVID-19 protocol allowing for the expulsion of 1.7 million migrants. After the policy was reversed, both Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection had warned of and prepared for an influx of migrants.

Over 3,000,000 migrants have been encountered at the southern border since President Joe Biden took office in January 2021, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
