Fox News host Martha MacCallum demanded more transparency by the Department of Justice following Monday’s raid at the Florida home of former President Donald Trump.
“Here is why we need the affidavit,” MacCallum told Jonathan Turley (a George Washington University Law School law professor) shortly after Attorney General Merrick Garland’s remarks. Right, you can say that this was the reason for the search. Federal agents raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home early Monday morning, ostensibly to seize documents Trump had taken from the White House after he left office, according to multiple sources. According to multiple sources, Attorney General Merrick Garland claimed that he authorized the raid.

“But then immediately, your mind goes to the FISA filing, that we couldn’t see for a really long time,” MacCallum continued. “It goes to all other things in the Russia collusion that we were just supposed to accept were legitimate underlying evidence like the Steele Dossier, that merited the surveillance of people like George Papadopoulos and Carter Page.”
Special counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the probe into allegations that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia during his successful 2016 campaign for the White House led to the indictment of Igor Danchenko on charges of lying to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
