California Republicans want answers as to why the FBI raided Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, Florida home earlier in this week.
Republican Women Michelle Steel and Young Kim were both from California. They questioned the “unprecedented” raid on a home of a former President, while residents protested at several FBI offices.
” I find it troubling that the FBI has not provided any information and think Attorney General [Merrick] Garland should give the American people an explanation as to why the unprecedented raid at Trump’s home.” Steel stated in a statement.
On Aug. 20, 2017, the FBI executed a search warrant signed by U.S. Magistrate Bruce Reinhart for Trump’s Palm Beach home. 8.
Since then, FBI Director Christopher Wray issued a statement in defense of the bureau. Garland briefly spoke about the raid during a press conference.
” Unfounded attacks against the FBI’s integrity erode respect for law and are a grave service to those who have sacrificed so much to protect others,” Wray stated in a statement issued on August 8. Violence against law enforcement (including the FBI) is dangerous. All Americans .”

The FBI search is part of an ongoing probe initiated by the National Archives into whether Trump kept confidential documents when he left the White House in January, 2021.
Garland made his first public comments about the raid at a press conference held at the Department of Justice (DOJ) headquarters on Aug. 11, stating that he “personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant.”
Deborah Pauly, president of the Conservative Patriots of Orange County, organized a small protest of about 30 people outside an FBI office in Santa Ana, Calif., on Friday.
” We’re here to protest the corrupt behavior of FBI agents under the Biden government,” Pauly said to The Epoch Times. Their actions caused fear among many citizens, so they could not protest the unlawful act against an ex-president and current opponent. It’s like living in a banana republic
Pauly stated that her group doubts the validity of the search warrant. According to the law, search and seizure laws, the search warrant must be issued and signed by a neutral and detached magistrate.
” As the facts emerge, it is quite clear that the judge who issued the warrant was a biased partisan,” she stated.
Another protester was Lan Nguyen from Orange County. He said that he would support Donald Trump. “He is president for people. I am here to tell the FBI what they did to President Trump is wrong .”
Protesters shouted “Defund FBI” and “Let’s Go Brandon,” to cheers and honks of passing motorists.
Greg Brittain, Redlands Tea Party Patriots, helped to organize another protest in Riverside on Wednesday. He said that the raid has exposed FBI and DOJ intimidation techniques and revealed the two-tiered justice system .”

” With that spotlight we felt it important to stand up for President Trump, and not just remain silent. Brittain said that the spotlight was an opportunity to let everyone know, or as many people as possible about what’s going on with corrupted and politicized federal laws enforcement and the danger it presents to freedom and Republic.”
Brittain is also a host of a radio show and heads a group of conservative groups called Unite IE in California’s Inland Empire. He accused the FBI with using intimidation tactics against anyone who disagrees with the “party line” of the .”

These tactics and cancel culture are forcing many patriots “to shut up if [they] want to maintain their jobs and business,” he stated.
Brittain quoted President Harry Truman who stated: “And when even one American, having done nothing wrong, is forced by fear of closing his mind and closing his mouth, then all Americans will be in danger .”
Toni Ringlein, founder of Unite911.com a conservative activist group, organized a protest in Palm Springs where, she said, about 30 people showed up.
” “It’s totally absurd,” she stated. We all know it was a scam .”

Ringlein referred to the raid as an “absolute abuse” of power.
” And, if it could happen to President Trump it could happen to anyone of us,” she stated. We know that President Trump and his administration have been cooperating with the investigation that has been launched against them to find him guilty of something. It was because they were scared. He knows that, if he is elected again as president, he will be victorious .”
Eric Early was a former Republican candidate as state attorney general and questioned the search warrant’s “purported basis”.
” The frenzied far right and mainstream media enablers need to be controlled. Early stated that this search warrant shouldn’t have been issued.”
House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said, “AttorneyGeneral Garland: Keep your documents safe and clean your calendar .”
” I’m tired. Inexcusable weaponized politicization has reached the Department of Justice. McCarthy stated that Republicans will immediately take control of the Department of Justice if they win the House. He said, “We will follow the facts and not leave any stone unturned.”
In response to criticisms over the raid, Nancy Pelosi (D.San Francisco), said that “no one is above the law”. We believe in the rule and law. This is what the country stands for. No one is above the law. The president of the United States is not above the law. Even a past president of the United States
Most other House Democrats remain silent on the matter, according to reports.
Democratic Congresswoman Katie Porter is currently running in Orange Country for reelection. She did not reply to questions nor her campaign office.
