Rep. Kevin Hern, a Republican from Oklahoma, took aim Friday at President Joe Biden’s speech in which he claimed that former President Donald Trump had threatened the United States’ democracy system.

INTERVIEWER: Congressman, I want to get your take on this because the president essentially is attacking half of the country and grouping them into this extreme basket of MAGA Republicans. Many people will say “I don’t know what it is”. He also accused them of trying to undermine democracy. What is your take?
REP. KEVIN HERN: I don’t think there’s any question that Joe Biden has done more to erode democracy and faith in our institutions after last night’s speech than we ever thought possible. As you said, last night he claimed that half of America, including all those who voted in Donald Trump, has no place here and that they are all fascists. If we had a strong two-party system which was how our founders intended us to work together, then he did more damage than ever.
