Joe Biden tries to walk back dark speech: “I don’t consider any Trump supporter to be a threat”

President Joe Biden attempted Friday to rescind his dark speech of the previous night after he was criticised for portraying supporters of President Donald Trump, who were radical extremists that threatened the United States, with a lot of backlash.

” I don’t think any Trump supporters are a danger to the country,” Biden said when reporters asked him why he thought Trump and his followers were such a threat.

The president attempted to reduce his scope of who he was referring to when he stated that “Donald Trump” and the MAGA Republicans were a threat to our country’s very soul in Thursday’s speech at Independence Hall, Pennsylvania.

” I believe anyone calling for violence, and failing to condemn it when used, refuses to admit an election has taken place, insists on changing the rules – how you count votes,” said he. That is a serious threat to democracy. Democracy. We stand for .”

.

Biden attempted to retract his dark assertions by noting that not all Trump supporters supported everything he said.

” When people vote for Donald Trump, and they support him now they aren’t voting to attack the Capitol or overrule an election.” he stated. They voted for the philosophy he presented .”

Biden claimed he meant people who are violent deniers of the election in this country.

“I am not referring to anything else than that it is unacceptable and it’s happening in other places around the globe, including the failure to recognise and condemn violence when it’s being used for political purposes and failure to condemn manipulations of electoral outcomes. He said that it was not up to him to recognize when elections have been won and lost.
