Trump haters instantly fell for the Department of Justice’s media spin about Donald Trump’s passports being seized before his team proved it to be false.
A former president Trump stated on TruthSocial Monday that his passports were stolen by the FBI during the raid at his house that rocked the political world last Tuesday.
” In the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago they stole three Passports (one expired), and everything else,” he stated. This is an attack on a political enemy at a level not seen in this Country before. Third World !”
Hours later, Norah O’Donnell from CBS News stated that an official at DOJ told her that they did not have the passports of former President, although one would probably be a diplomatic passport.
” According to an official from DOJ, former President Trump’s passports are NOT being held by the FBI. Trump claimed that the FBI had stolen his passports in the raid on his Mar-a-Lago residence. O’Donnell made this announcement Monday.

Shortly after Norah was posted, Taylor Budowich (the former president’s communications chief) shared an email sent by Jay Bratt to him, the highest ranking counterintelligence official at the Justice Department’s national security division. It confirmed that three passports had been seized during the raid, and promised that the passports would soon be returned to the president.
” We have been informed that three of President Trump’s passports were seized by the filter agents. Two passports had expired while one was his diplomatic passport. They will be available for pickup at WFO at noon today, so we are returning them,” Trump’s lawyers wrote in an email.
Prior the debunked claim Norah O’Donnell amended immediately, some of former presidents most hateful haters took action, alleging that he lied or his passports had been rightfully taken.
