Canada: A series of stabbings leaves 10 people dead, and 15 wounded

At least ten people are dead with another 15 wounded in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan following a series of stabbings.

The stabbings reportedly occurred “in multiple locations on the James Smith Cree Nation and in the village of Weldon, northeast of Saskatoon,” adding to a total of 13 crime scenes, according to USA Today.

” “It’s horrific what has happened in our province today,” RhondaBlackmore, assistant commissioner for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Saskatchewan told reporters.

Blackmore didn’t provide any motive and stated that some victims may have been targeted, while others could have been attacked randomly. The two suspects were last seen by police in Regina, Saskatchewan.

” If you are in Regina, be safe and consider staying put. You should not leave your safe place. DO NOT APPROACH suspicious persons. Don’t pick up hitchhikers. Report suspicious persons, emergencies or info to 9-1-1. “Do not reveal police locations,” Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), stated on Twitter.

Weldon resident Doreen Lees, an 89-year-old grandmother, told reporters that she and her daughter may have seen the suspects driving down the street in the early morning when a man approached her daughter on her front porch saying he was hurt and needed help. According to reports, the man fled just after Doreen Lees said that she would call 911 for help.

“He didn’t want to show his face. His face was covered with a large jacket. Lees explained USA Today that he had mumbled his name two times and couldn’t remember his name. He said that his face had been so badly injured that he could not show it .”

.

” I followed him for a while to check if it was OK. Lees said that he should get back to where he came from.
