DeSantis endorsers pile up, Crist receives support from Newsom

Florida Gov. As the race for midterm elections heats between him and his Democratic challenger, Rep. Charlie Crist (D) continues to garner new endorsements.

The Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association and Florida Retail Association officially endorsed Governor Scott for reelection. Carol Dover (FRLA President & Chief Executive Officer) praised DeSantis’s support of the sector, especially during the Chinese coronavirus epidemic. Dover stated:

Ron DeSantis, as Governor, has been an ardent supporter of the industry. He kept restaurants and hotels open when others closed. Our industry has been able to prosper again thanks to Governor DeSantis’ leadership. He saved many jobs and helped businesses throughout the state.

“He is aware of the vital role hospitality and tourism have in Florida’s economic viability, and we believe he will do so again in his second term.” Dover said. Scott Shalley, President of Florida Retail Federation, echoed these remarks.

” The Governor is committed to Florida’s open-for-business status and has helped the retail sector to thrive in these difficult times. Shalley stated that we are proud to endorse his campaign.

Indeed, Florida has experienced record-setting tourism numbers — particularly in 2021, seeing the highest levels of domestic visitation in the state’s history.

” Florida’s record-breaking tourism has allowed us to create and maintain record employment and unemployment levels. The governor stated that Florida is continuing to show the Freedom Agenda’s effectiveness.

Also, DeSantis was endorsed by Florida Realtors. Margy Grant, Florida Realtors CEO, described DeSantis as “a true champion for the real estate sector and the professionals who operate within it.” Grant also cited how DeSantis handled the pandemic.

Whether it was designating us essential at the start of the pandemic, being a vocal advocate for affordable housing solutions, or working hard to protect Florida’s natural resources, the governor clearly recognizes the importance of Realtors and the critical services they provide Floridians.

Another reason Crist received one of its biggest endorsements was from the California Governor. Gavin Newsom (D), who pledged $100,000 to the Democrat’s campaign:

It is not clear how this endorsement will be received by Florida voters. Millions of them are pleased that Florida works differently from blue California. Crist tweeted an article praising Newsom’s endorsement. This is a clear sign that he was eager to get it.

Crist instructs millions of Floridians to not vote for him, while declaiming that DeSantis is taking freedom away.
