Letitia James, NY Attorney General Threatens To Charge Reawaken America Rally Organiser with Violence and Intimidation

NY Attorney General Letitia James has a dual purpose. She is targeting Donald Trump’s business interests and bringing her Third World governance philosophy to the table (see New York AG Letitia James Flys in on Her Broom and Demands Google Delist Pro-Life Centers. In a Scathing letter, Firearms Policy Coalition promises to take NY AG Letitia James up on her ‘We’ll See you in Court’ offer and Donald Trump wins against Letitia James’s New York Witch Hunt) and to speech.

Reawaken America is a series of events organized by businessman and unsuccessful candidate for Tulsa mayor Clay Clark that have been running since April 2021. The tours seem to have a couple of consistent themes: COVID restrictions are unconstitutional, and President Trump did not lose the 2020 election. The majority of events were hosted by churches but they weren’t in the context of religious events. The Mainstreet Armory, Rochester was their first choice when the tour wanted to host their Upstate NY show. After a protest , the deal was canceled. In Batavia NY, the Cornerstone Church was chosen as the fallback plan.

This is where the fun began. Letitia James, New York’s Attorney General sent Clay Clark and Michael Flynn letters threatening to bring criminal charges against them if they attended the rally. It was also sent by Cornerstone Church’s pastor to ensure that they understood the message.

This letter shows a bizarre example of legal bullying. It would be shameful for any country that has a long tradition in law.

She objected to the mention of certain subjects or the chosen date.

These concerns revolve around the proposed event dates which are in line with the five year anniversary of the Charlottesville massacre and previous extremist statements by you and the other speakers. Particularly concerned are the frequent allusions by featured speakers to white nationalist ideals linked to “Great Replacement Theory,” which is a conspiracy theory warning of white genocide as well as attempts to replace native-born immigrants. The theory is frequently linked to violent actions, including the racially motivated mass shooting that killed 10 people at a Tops Friendly Markets store in Buffalo.

She makes direct threats of legal action should the rally continue.

The Office of the Attorney General reminds you that New York law does not allow for racially motivated violence or harassment. It also prohibits interference with civil rights. New York Civil Rights Law SS79-n empowers the Office of the Attorney General to investigate acts of violence, intimidation, threats, or harassment directed at people based on a belief or perception regarding an individual’s race, color, national origin, ancestry, gender, religion, religious practice, age, disability, or sexual orientation. In addition to actual damages, any person who violates this statute can be held liable for $5,000 in penalties for each violation.

This letter is a bullsht from beginning to end. Speakers can say whatever they like, but the Attorney General does not have that authority. They can literally yell “Fire” in a crowded rally if they want to. You can also call them hurty-pants. Because the First Amendment forbids government from banning speech, it is legal.

The rally took place as planned.

No wokes were injured, but some emotions were hurt.

I just played the video clip from Pastor Mark Burns praying for Attorney General Letitia Jams to the Rev. Nathan Empsall.

Empsall claims it wasn’t prayer. It was a “pseudocall to violence.” pic.twitter.com/QxQOG937N6

His claim to be an Episcopalian in the service truth is reporting makes it difficult for him to become a clergyman.

Letitia James may be making a profit from her anti-American and anti-democratic letter.

When Thomas Jefferson spoke of the “separation between church and state”, what he was afraid of wasn’t the church interfering with affairs of the state. As long as people of faith vote to elect representatives, the church will continue to play an important role in government. He was most concerned by government interference in the affairs of churches, be they governance or doctrine.

A church that is not based on hatred of race like the Nation of Islam has the right to hold any kind of speaker it chooses and teach it whatever it wants without fear from the nitwit attorney General.

This is just one example of the way Democrats behave when they are in control in a state with only one party. They immediately run to the nearest Hugo Boss outlet and buy up every snazzy-looking outfit they can find, so long as the color is brown or black. However, these are not common times. Alex Parker, my colleague, reported recently on an investigation the Department of Justice launched into the Southern Baptist Convention. DOJ Investigates Southern Baptist Convention and Reasons Is Extremely Concerning. It is difficult to discern any federal legitimate interest in the way the convention is structured. This is beyond what’s obvious. As the election year progresses, just as Letitia James tried to suppress freedom speech and freedoms of association for those she dislikes, so too are the feds warning the SBC.
