The State Attorney Ron DeSantis Suspended Cries for a Glorious Water

The Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, announced Thursday morning that he would suspend a state attorney who refused to enforce Florida’s laws. Ron DeSantis demonstrated once more that he is a new breed of Republican when he suspended a Florida state attorney for refusing to enforce Florida’s laws.

DeSantis just told ‘The View to pound the sand’ that Andrew Warren, the State Attorney, had been suspended for refusing enforce the laws. These laws included those which criminalize the casting of children under the pretext of “gender affirming care .”

“We are suspending Soros-backed 13th circuit state attorney Andrew Warren for neglecting his duties as he pledges not to uphold the laws of the state,” DeSantis’ office said in a statement according to Fox News.

” The constitution of Florida has conferred the power to veto on the governor and not the state attorneys,” DeSantis stated. “We are not going to allow this pathogen of ignoring the law get a foothold in the state of Florida.”

Warren now responds, publishing a state accusing Florida’s governor of “illegaloverreach” and calling DeSantis “aspiring presidential candidate .”

This illegal political stunt continues Ron DeSantis’ dangerous trend of using his office for his political ends. It spits in the face of the voters of Hillsborough County who have twice elected me to serve *them*, not Ron DeSantis… pic.twitter.com/RzPXksSSWa

Inject this statement directly into my veins. It is the sight of an arrogant official from the state getting his retribution for believing he can run his own kingdom that makes me happy. The laws are up to the voters of Florida, and not state attorneys. DeSantis had the power to remove Warren from certain laws, but he could not do so via his prosecutorial discretion. The law is clear that Warren’s decision to go home was legal.

How long until Warren appears on CNN? It’s almost certain that it will happen, most likely as early as Thursday night. It is a common tactic of the press to portray Republicans as fascists when they exercise their legal rights. Did you remember when Donald Trump was criticized for firing US attorneys after he took office? It was all laughs when Joe Biden did it the same way.

If you’re still unsure about DeSantis’ popularity, here is an example of how Republicans love him. He’s more than just a media shill. He gets things done and isn’t afraid to take on any political opposition. This is a rare trait on the right, even among its most popular leaders. DeSantis is not afraid, which is why he will cruise to November’s reelection. The sky is the limit after that.
