” We are supposed to be in control of the FBI and the DOJ. It is extremely dangerous if they are able to raid our office or seize our phones or steal any information. This could mean the end of our constitution. This is a serious matter. ” says Congressman Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).
Rep. Gohmert saw similarities in the FBI raid on Former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence to what occurred to the Roman Empire. “One way they end their time being a republic was when you have leaders that are ruining the country. This is what caused the end of the Roman Republic .”
“He said that it was almost impossible for something like this to happen in America. The raid and oversight by the FBI were discussed. They also talked about the historical implications of this for the country.
