It’s almost like the West is an Oedipus character, one who blinded itself when it realized its complicity with the abuse of other people. This is not how the rest of the world operates. The West’s death wish, as Jean Raspail identifies in the otherwise horrifying novel “The Camp of the Saints,” has an overwhelming power. It is our desire to escape from ourselves and to be freed into the service of reclaimed innocence.

Want to see the future that we have created for ourselves? Take a look at Jackson’s water system in Mississippi. It is now collapsed. It is not clear what caused the collapse, except that the state and people living there did not take care of the infrastructure. We are becoming a nation that can only talk about power dynamics and mathematics but doesn’t know how turn water on.

A reader of this blog wrote to tell me that he was leaving the US military despite being an advanced officer, as he couldn’t stand to see the military preparedness suffer due to politicians wanting to use the military to implement their social experiments. We start to think that the military’s purpose is to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion or Spread Democracy rather than to defend the homeland.

A friend from Poland emailed me with some bleak news this morning. His friend in Poland sent me gloomy news this morning. He stated that there is a feeling that war is imminent and that it will get worse soon. Although it is difficult for me imagine Russia invading NATO countries, I can see the US and EU attempting to distract from domestic turmoil (over the fact everyone is poor and cold due to poor leadership) by starting a war against Russia in Ukraine.

A friend from Romania told me that the people of Romania are feeling a growing sense of crisis due to their energy situation. According to him, people now wonder about the kind of crisis their leaders and EU leaders have created: The implosion of their country in order to save Volodymyr Zelensky’s Ukraine. The mass energy crisis protest in Prague was reported by you, I believe. The roving Internet correspondent Michael Yon calls what is emerging a “Global 1848,” referring to the infamous year of mass uprisings and revolts in Europe.

A friend from Hungary said last week to me that she didn’t get why I wanted to go to Budapest. “It’s like moving to Poland in August 1939,” she said. Although she might be right, I still go. To protect myself and my family from the Russians bombing Ukraine’s nuke plant, I ordered sufficient potassium iodide tablets.

I’m going more in depth about this issue in another post. However, the shocking scandal that US hospitals, in concert with Washington’s administration and the media-carrying US media, have created a system under which thousands are sexually molested in accordance with an insane ideology. This cannot be separate from Woke Mathematics. This is all part of an elite corrupted to abdicate leadership and impose ideology to guide reality. They’ll amputate the breasts of children and their genitalia and take away their ability to reason. Who will benefit? This is not just China.

Last point: here is news from one of the great annual pageants of the Western cultural elite, the Venice Film Festival:

Timothee Chalamet had all of Venice seeing red on Friday night at the world premiere of “Bones and All.” The actor donned a sparkling backless jumpsuit in a blood-red shade — a cheeky wink to the drama’s central protagonists, two cannibals in love.

The film, which reunites Chalamet with his “Call Me By Your Name” director Luca Guadagnino, lives up to its title with gory attacks and scenes that involve limb-chewing and eating. However, despite its uncomfortable content, “Bones and All” received an 8.5 minute standing ovation from the Venice audience. This was the most enthusiastic film of all the festivals.

This odyssey features self-exploration, murder and a tone that hints at what Guadagnino would have directed if he was tapped for one of the “Twilight.” films. Lee seduces Maren in a carnival scene, suggesting that the man is bisexual or pansexual.

This what Europe’s most cultured-savvy aesthetes cheer. Is this what civilization stands for? Anything? Anything? Over Keith Richards’s strumbly guitar, I can hear Mick Jagger singing:
