China reports one human infected with bubonic plague in the Northwestern Region of Ningxia

BEIJING – A plague-infected person was reported in Ningxia, a northwestern Chinese province. This was confirmed by state TV late Tuesday.

The caseload for human plague, an extremely serious and infectious disease, has dropped to one in 2021, and none deaths from it. This is down from three infections in 2020,, and four deaths from the same plague according to the National Health Commission. However, the data does not indicate the type of plague each individual will experience.

The infected person arrived from outside, according to state television. The state television did not give any further information.

The actual casualties may exceed the number listed because China’s regime regularly suppresses and alters information.

The latest case of bubonic plague was reported by state television. According to the World Health Organization, bubonic plague, which is the most severe form of plague, can cause death if it’s not treated quickly.
