IN MY ORDINARY: Alfredo Ortiz, Job Creators Network, Talks inflation and Job Creation. Why Small Business Can Save the Country

Happy Labor Day!

This holiday, aside from its three-day weekend, gets very little attention from conservatives because it’s a celebration of organized labor and the “accomplishments” that have made more harm than good to small businesses and the American worker.

Conservatives do what the Left does best: they co-opt Labor Day and change its meaning. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the conservative standard bearer shows us how:

This Labor Day I’m glad Florida upheld the rights of Floridians and others to make a living.

Florida now has more employees than before the pandemic.

Finance analyst and author Carol Roth speak truth to power.

Remember that there are no non-essential workers on Labor Day.

And, as usual, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO), tells it the way it is.

We wish all hardworking Americans a happy Labor Day

We are the motor that drives this country.

The Job Creators Network is an organization that provides maintenance and support for the engines of the American economy.

I had a wonderful conversation with Alfredo Ortiz, its president. This is a fitting Labor Day message. Ortiz and I discussed how in its 12-year-history, JCN has been fighting for small businesses, and continues to fight against the Biden administration’s policies and the havoc they are wreaking on solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, franchisers, and smaller enterprises nationwide.

We’re excited with the work that we do because we really defend and advocate for the 30 million small businesses that are out there employing about 60 million hardworking Americans. So, you know, you’re talking about 90 million people in this country that are dependent on the success or failure of small business.

Looking at your day, it’s likely that you have touched a small business every day for the past week. It could be the local pizza shop, dry cleaner or car dealer. These are not franchises. They are small local businesses.

We’re happy to continue doing the work that we love, which is advocating economic success for small business owners.

It is always helpful to look back at the history of small businesses and know it’s never too late. Les Brown stated , that you can set another goal, or have another dream, even if the government wants to keep you from achieving that dream.

JCN created this animated billboard shaming Biden for his lies and deceitfulness in attempting to pass the Inflation Reduction Act. It shows Biden’s Pinocchio nose growing.

Ortiz stated in a press release,

“The Biden administration has obviously taken small business owners and the American people for a ride–playing fast and loose with the facts at every opportunity. The White House Press Room spins that the economy is in trouble, wages are falling, and small businesses will face tax hikes. Although administration officials may spin the truth to try and reverse falling approval ratings, small businesses will not be fooled. Now with this billboard, Biden’s growing Pinocchio nose is on display for all Americans to see.”

Ortiz spoke extensively about the impact of inflation on small business and the extent to which erosion is more severe than for large, multifaceted corporations.

And you know, the small business owners, one thing I really want to make clear to to all your listeners and viewers is that, they really get hit hard. They’re okay for large businesses. Because they are able to absorb those prices, inflation is not a problem for them. It’s true, they do. They will. But it is really difficult for small businesses to achieve that.

First, they don’t have the luxury of raising prices and expecting people to continue coming in. You can only increase your prices so that customers don’t leave.

Loss of customers is a loss in business revenue. This can impact whether your company makes payroll, spends money or closes its doors. This was evident during the pandemic and it is happening more now that American businesses are stagnating under inflation of double-digits.

High inflation and basically no growth or negative growth, that is going to be the killer for this economy, for our small businesses, and frankly, hardworking Americans across the country that are worried about their jobs are going to be worried about, you know, how do I pay for groceries.

Finally, we talked about the midterms and JCN’s Great Opportunity Program (GOP), which is helping to mobilize grassroots action and articulate a vision that will turn the tide against policies that hurt Americans.

I think Americans get tired of hearing “Vote For Us” because we aren’t suckers. Vote to us .”

This is not enough. Our vision must be crystal clear and clearly communicated.

No matter what your opinion is about Donald Trump, one thing that he excelled at was marketing. He knew how to explain and market a country’s vision.

He said it all in one sentence. They’re using the acronym against Republicans, I believe. But Make America Great Again was a very clear vision, very clearly articulated.

That was what he planned to do. He didn’t have to give any details. He said, “That’s what we’re going to do.” It’s my goal to make America great again.

We need to have that clarity in our message going into the midterms, and frankly going into 2024.

What do we really stand for?
