Discredited Former CBS News anchor Dan Rather got roasted by social media following his tweet about the latest wave of CNN employees leaving.
The recent changes to the network are due to Chris Licht, newly appointed CEO and Chairman of CNN trying move CNN from its extreme-left partisan coverage.
This past week, CNN White House correspondent John Harwood announced he was exiting the network, following the recent departures of former Reliable Sources left-wing host Brian Stelter and former legal analyst Jeffery Toobin — who infamously masturbated during an October 2020 Zoom meeting with New Yorker and WNYC staffers.
The wave of departures sparked Dan Rather to ask publicly on Twitter why former left-wing employees are exiting CNN. He expressed his disappointment at Licht’s new direction for the network.
” What is happening at CNN?” Rather, asked via Twitter. “It’s a serious question. It’s not hard to speculate on motives and directives. Is there really a plot? Is it even being seen by the ?”

The questioning of the former Evening News anchor led to social media users roasting Rather. This implied that his tweet had been oblivious.

“Maybe the are trying to do straight news. You wouldn’t know …” responded radio host Pete Mundo.

However, left-wingers seemed to be in agreement with Rather and expressed more outrage at the change of direction. This included Keith Olberman, a far-left MSNBC anchor.
” Although it’s an interesting story, the new president will be there to stop liberal heads from getting in the way,” Olberman tweeted.
” It’s not a coincidence that the two on-air personalities who are so ambitious tweeted identical GOP talk points regarding Biden and Marines. “This is the background of the new hatchetman – he tried similar stuff at MSNBC,” added he.

Some conservative users found it funny that so many left-wingers were dissatisfied with CNN’s latest direction.

Rather, who once was regarded as one of the Big Three nightly news anchors along with NBC’s Tom Brokaw and ABC’s Peter Jennings, fell from grace after he was ousted from CBS News in 2004 for making false allegations about then-President George W. Bush’s service in the Texas National Guard in the 1960’s and 1970’s on broadcasts of 60 Minutes and CBS Evening News.
During an appearance on CNN’s Larry King Live in 2006 following his departure, the former news anchor still held onto the “the truth” of his discredited story.
