Raul Ortiz Chief, US Border Patrol Raul Ortiz laid the blame on the current illegal migration crisis squarely at President Biden. He said Joe’s “no consequence” border policy had led to an unprecedented increase in cross-border crossings. Ortiz spoke in an audio deposition as part of a suit brought against the Department of Homeland Security by Ashley Moody, Florida Attorney General. When Ortiz was asked if the large flow of people is due to lax enforcement, Ortiz replied
It is possible to see an increase in migrant population if they are informed that it may happen, and that this could be the case.

This comes after Karine Jean Pierre, Biden’s press secretary, had an argument Monday with Peter Doocy from Fox News about illegal aliens crossing easily the border. Jean-Pierre stated, “That’s just not the way it works.” It’s not as if someone walks over.” Bill Melugin, Doocy’s Fox colleague was furious and tweeted: “That’s exactly what’s happening at the frontier. Not sure how many videos more we need to present multiple times per day to make this point clear

The Biden Administration can pretend all they want that there’s no crisis at the border, but videos like the ones Melugin regularly posts on Twitter and Ortiz’s testimony make the issue impossible to ignore. Although the testimony was given late July, it was only made public by Florida’s Attorney General on Tuesday.
Although many Ortiz answers can be described as simple yeses the impact is nonetheless powerful when the questioner poses some more complex questions. I’ll let the transcript speak for itself:
Speaker1: Would you agree, Chief Ortiz, that unprecedented numbers of aliens are illegally entering the United States right now?
Ortiz: Yes.
Speaker1 – Are these individuals turning themselves into the police because they think they will be paroled?
Ortiz : They are probably turning themselves in to get out of jail. Yes.
Speaker1 – Did the amount of illegal immigrants trying to enter the United States rise or fall after President Biden’s election?
Ortiz: Increase.
Speaker1: From your 31 years of experience has the Border Patrol in a year ever had the number of encounters that it’s going to have in 2022?
Ortiz: No.
Speaker1 – Is it making America’s southern border more dangerous for both Americans and foreigners?
Ortiz: Yes.
Speaker1 – Does this document suggest that illegal aliens entering the United States believe they can enter the country and stay there?
Ortiz: Yes.
Speaker1 – Why is it so important to remove and detain demographics who are able to be handled by the Border Patrol
Ortiz – One: You want to ensure you have consequences.
Speaker1: Okay. If you do not have consequences, then what’s likely to happen?
Ortiz – In my personal experience we’ve seen increased when there aren’t any consequences.
Speaker1 Are you saying that?
Ortiz – It is possible to see an increase in migrant population if they are informed that it may happen.
Speaker1 : The flow of people will continue to increase if you don’t remove and detain those who are able. This is what the speaker1 suggests.
Ortiz : Yes, I think it will.
The Biden Administration actively attempted to weaken border security. They humiliate agents by making false claims that they whip border crossings from their horses. It has tried to block efforts of the Texas National Guard in stopping the flow. The numbers are staggering: according to Daily Mail, nearly 4.9 million illegals have entered the U.S. since President Joe Biden took office in 2021. The historic inflow is similar to how “no consequence” has led crime waves in US cities.
One can only worry that it will take a tragedy like the 53 migrants who died in a hot truck to wake up Biden to the awful consequences of his toothless policies. He clearly hasn’t been affected by American deaths at the hands illegal immigrants, or the economic destruction wrought by importing a large portion of the Irish population without regard to their ability to provide for themselves.
