When you think about abortions, what comes to mind? This is the link made by a newly discovered missive.
According to a memo sent to employees Friday, the company’s healthcare plans will now provide abortion coverage “when there is a health risk to the mother, rape or incest, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage or lack of fetal viability.”
Per The Associated Press , Walmart used to only offer coverage for “when the health and safety of the mother is in jeopardy if she was carried to term. The fetus would not be able survive birth .”

Presumably because of the repeal of Roe. Wade , travel will now be:
Donna Morris, the retailer’s chief people officer, said in the memo to staff that the new policy will also offer “travel support” for workers seeking abortions covered under its health care plans — as well as their dependents — so they can access services that are not available within 100 miles of their locations.
Walmart is not the only one to provide post-Roe assistance. Other include American Express and Bank of America are also available include Meta (Facebook parent company).
Even so, it seems that the announcement of this chain is far removed from its Christian origins.

Conservative leaders have taken Walmart to task for its pro-abortion updates. The Daily Wire reported that several organizations sent a joint Wednesday letter to CEO Doug McMillon, condemning his “woke policies .”

From the letter:
As board members, your fiduciary responsibilities to shareholders are clear. You must be able to understand how Walmart’s ever-worsening policies have alienated millions of customers and forced them to take their business elsewhere. …
It is also obvious that women who support such an abominable policy are more likely to work at Walmart than they are at home taking care of their children and themselves.
Not only are you offensive for your pro-abortion policies, but also your promoting of an increase in adoption benefits to make up for your anti-woman, immoral policy, is offensive for all women. Why wasn’t the increase offered earlier? Why is it now? Americans understand why.
The letter points out that Walmart has used conservative offices and individuals to help it implement policies that have benefited its shareholders and customers in the past.
Another change is coming:
We cannot tolerate your leftist policies, especially when they lead to the death of innocent people. Conservatives should look elsewhere for a government that represents their beliefs. Walmart should not be allowed to fund conservative officials or organizations while supporting the policies of the left.
The letter was especially pointed about Walmart’s Christian visionary.
Sam Walton, your founder would be horrified.
