Two Texas Border River Crossings: Pre-Schooler and Toddler. Infant drowning

EAGLEPASS, Texas — A Border Patrol agent pulled the body of an infant migrant from Rio Grande on Monday. In addition to his brother, aged three years old, and the girl who was five years old at the time of his death on Monday, he drowned.

A source working under U.S. Customs and Border Protection said that the boy, who was three months old when he was pulled from Rio Grande on Monday, died from injuries. A three-year old boy was also taken from the river by the agents during the crossing. Breitbart Texas reported that agents could not save the child.

Also, on Monday the rapid-moving current of Rio Grande near El Paso tore a 5-year-old girl’s mother from her attempt at crossing the Rio Grande. The mother and daughter crossed with a larger group of migrants, KVIA ABC7 reported.

This video was captured by a Mexican TV station and shows the moment when a firefighter lifted the girl’s corpse from the water while she floated downstream.

Border Patrol officers and El Paso firefighters pulled five adults out of the water, including the mother. She drowned after the currents pulled her away from her five-year old body.

Agents reported that the child and mother were identified as Guatemalan citizens.

Border Network for Human Rights founder and executive director Fernando Garcia said the El Paso drownings followed the drowning deaths of 20 other migrants in June and July — just in El Paso, the New York Post reported.

During the summer months, many migrants drowned in the Del Rio Sector — mostly around Eagle Pass. For extended periods, agents report that there are more than one drowning every day.

” The newspaper was not able to see the outcry from America. “Why do children have to be killed?” Garcia said. Garcia said that each parent must make a decision about whether to bring their child across the dangerous waterway.

” They do this because their children aren’t growing up in a place where they can die from hunger, poverty or other diseases. He also explained that violence is possible.

Earlier this month, Breitbart Texas reported more than 670 migrants died in “horrific” circumstances this year. Of the more than 670 deaths, 60 percent were drownings and exposure. Another 10 percent of the deaths were discovered but the causes were not definitive.

The death of an infant at Eagle Pass borders crossing has brought the total to three deaths this week among migrant children crossing the border.
