Harvey Weinstein Appeal Hearing at New York’s Highest Court

NEW YORK – New York’s top court agreed to hear Harvey Weinstein’s appeal over his 2020 rape sentence.

A spokesperson for the Court of Appeals stated Wednesday that oral arguments will likely take place sometime in the next year after the August decision was made to hear the case. 19.

Weinstein, a New Yorker, was convicted of performing forced oral sex in February 2020. He also raped an aspiring actress in 2013.. The 70-year-old was sentenced to 23 years in prison and is currently in custody in California awaiting trial on other assault charges.
