White People Tell ‘Exhausted” and Trauma-Torn TikTok Teachers to Stop Making the World Safe

A TikTok teacher has an order to whites — particularly those in academia.

This is an unusual era in which phones are used as monologue slingshots and to send monologues out into the internet. These messages can be edited and polished and sent as though the masses want to hear and learn.

This is the new national pastime.

In a video that Libs of TikTok , shared recently, a woman who identifies herself as a teacher discusses the science behind America’s –and education’s — poor pigmentation.

She starts by ringing the community bell:

“Okay for white educators. This is for .”

She then cuts the clip to perform the look-to-the-side-and-lower-your-voice-and-adorably-raise-your-eyebrows-and-squint move found in an astonishingly large number of TikTok tangents.

[ I’m not sure if this expression is a prerequisite to posting on a platform. ]

Continuing:

“I mean, really, most of these are gonna be for y’all.”

She is concerned about safety at school:

“White educators should be a safe space for black students.”

The line is repeated again for emphasis.

According to the woman’s assumption, Caucasian teachers marvel at their inability to connect with black children. It’s now that those teachers must accept the fact they are scary.

” If you are wondering why you can’t connect with “those kids” (insert another example of the Standard TikTok Expression [STTE]), then it is probably because they feel unsafe around you .”

A caption is displayed on the screen.

Think about the exhaustion and emotional trauma that the BIPOC experience (Black, Indigenous and People Of Color), can cause.

The woman then gives in to her candor.

” I mean, I will be completely honest with you. Many white people, especially strangers to the country, are a threat. I am vigilant. It’s because they are trying to harm me. It’s not clear if they are safe. And it’s the same with children.”

She ends her talk with this handy rule:

“[I]f you decide to gloss over instances of racism or decide that Black Lives Matter is a political thing, you’re not a safe person.”

I can’t verify that she is a teacher, but her presentation shows where we stand.

It appears to me that her message is courtesy the insistence of America’s past few years — that America’s racism is a fact, and that colors should not co-exist…and the agreement of both sides with one ideology of the political spectrum is what defines “safety .”

The country seemed to be on a good path in terms of race relations not too long ago. The idea that skin colors could distinguish warring tribes was no longer true, it seemed like humanity is evolving.

Safety has always meant shelter from harm.

America seemed to be in a period of maturing over the decades. It was, for most, trying to keep its strength.

But a significant turn was taken. We have traded fragility for resilience, unity for fragmentation.

For all that talk about “diversity”, which inherently is not a strength, we have lost what makes us truly strong: the togetherness of independent, tolerant thinkers.

But, forget about all of that. These days it’s all all about TikTok. In a country dominated by whites, it’s important to stay safe.
