Liz Cheney’s latest grift targets Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley

Sometimes, you see a brazen grift and all you can do to respect it is be respectful. This is Liz Cheney. Yes, it’s ridiculous. She plays out a small-scale feud against the country, and ignores many issues that affect every American in her quest to be the orange man. Her transition from losing the election to swindling donors was seamless.

She’s so used to being a Washington swamp animal that she just does it by default. Before her defeat, this woman had her campaign website redirected to a page that would allow her to donate money for her scam PAC.

Cheney won’t just chase Donald Trump. While she is determined to get Democrats elected, Cheney has also been very specific about her goals. She is particularly upset about Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz.

GOP Sens. Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz have “made themselves unfit for future office,” Rep. Liz Cheney tells @jonkarl.

There is hypocrisy, and then there is what I saw in that video. You almost have to admire the brazenness Cheney displays. Cheney isn’t impartial nor consistent when it comes to almost any topic.

In this case, she’s claiming that Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley have somehow disqualified themselves from office by objecting to single states being certified following the 2020 election. First, Liz Cheney does not determine who can be elected to office in the United States. It’s up to the voters. And clearly her love for democracy is limited to her own selfish and narrow interests.

Normal Americans are concerned about the economy, inflation, disaster foreign policy decisions (of the most which Cheney was at the centre), the border crisis and weaponization of government institutions including the House of Representatives. Cheney doesn’t care about any of that, though, choosing to form her entire political personality around the supposed blight of “election-deniers.”

But there’s another thing. It doesn’t matter to her whether people deny the election results. In fact, two of her co-members on the January 6th committee have not only gone along with the illegitimate president claim (regarding George W. Bush and Donald Trump), but they formally voted to not certify the results following the 2004 and 2016 elections. They have never been condemned by Cheney. Also, she has never condemned Hillary Clinton’s election denialism nor chastised Stacey Abrams. Why? She does so because she is aware that donations will dry up if she does. Her reliance on those she says are her enemies is unavoidable.

That really encapsulates Cheney’s character. Cheney is not a principled warrior seeking to get rid of anyone who questions the election results. Otherwise, she would be attacking people on both sides. She’s more of a hacker who wants to be a spoiler for the presidential election in 2024..

Returning back to Cruz and Hawley. They used legal methods to oppose certification for reasons that they believed were legitimate. This is precisely what Cheney’s friends did. Cruz asked for an investigation into voter fraud. It doesn’t really matter whether you agree with Cruz or not. He did what was permitted by law. It wasn’t unusual and it is not disqualifying. Cheney’s hypocritical remarks only prove that she is exactly who we suspected her to be.
