Vietnam War Veteran: Hanoi Hilton POW for 6 Years, Surviving

A Vietnam Air Force pilot recounts how he survived being held prisoner in war-torn Hanoi. SAM missiles hit his F-4, landing on Hanoi Hilton. American soldiers were held as prisoners of war (POWs) after the attack. Retired Colonel Barry Bridger tells the story of hope. He remembers how he survived the imprisonment camp, and what he saw in America, despite the odds.

I spoke to Jim Petersen (author of “The Spirit to Soar”) and Barry Bridger at CPAC Texas. Bridger shares his story about the Hotel Hanoi Hilton, and offers hope. He tells me about his war experiences in Vietnam and the six-and-half years he spent as a prisoner. We also discuss what kept Bridger going.
