Jeffrey Toobin leaves CNN two years after Zoom

NEW YORK — Jeffrey Toobin rejoined CNN after stepping aside in the wake of exposing his self to colleagues during a Zoom call. He said that he would be leaving CNN after 20 year.

Toobin made the announcement in a Twitter, saying that he was happy to share his final day with Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer and Don Lemon.

” I love all my ex-colleagues,” he wrote.

Tobin was dismissed by The New Yorker in 2020 following the revelation that he had been spotted masturbating during a Zoom conference with employees. Toobin admitted that he did not realize the camera was being used and apologized.

CNN brought the victim back to the airwaves eight months after his incident.

Toobin has been with CNN since 2002 and was the author of many books including “True Crimes and Misdemeanors : The Investigation into Donald Trump,” which was published in August 2020.. His 1996 book “The Run of His Life”: The People and O.J. Simpson” was made into an FX Series.
