Tulsi Gabbard Critics Mar-A-Lago Raid

During a Fox News Tuesday night appearance, Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii called the raid on Mar-a-Lago “blatant abuse of Power” and criticised the Department of Justice. This raid is the latest in a disturbing trend of abuse of power that we’ve seen. (RELATED : Lara Trump issues a dire warning to the American public after Trump’s raid )

“There are many examples we can point out, not just abuse of power in the Department of Justice or within law enforcement agencies but also within the Department of Homeland Security, and the IRS,” Gabbard said to Fox News’ Jesse Watters. WATCH:

Gabbard cited numerous controversial investigations and allegations of abuses that predated Trump’s administration.

“Look at the FBI investigation into the — of Trump in relation to the Russia hoax, which didn’t prove to be anything,” she stated. Look at Lois Lerner and the IRS directly targeting conservative groups under the Obama administration. You look at this administration’s Department of Homeland Security’s creation of a ministry of truth to go after us, everyday Americans across the country tell us ‘hey, here is what we say the truth is and is not and what you are allowed to say and what you are not allowed to say.’ It’s hard to imagine, given how blatant all of this is, that this is happening in the United States of America.”

The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided Mar-a-Lago Monday in the wake of an investigation into allegations involving classified documents, according to The New York Times.

These are the same things that happened in dictatorships. Federal agencies including law enforcement can act as their personal goon squads. Gabbard stated. The Daily Caller News Foundation did not respond immediately to Gabbard’s request for comment.
