Los Angeles Bank Exec: 29 Killed by Lightning Strike near White House

LOS ANGELES–A 29-year-old bank executive from Los Angeles has been identified as one of three people killed in a lightning strike across the street from the White House last week.

Brooks Lambertson was born in Los Angeles. He served as the director of partnership marketing at the Los Angeles Clippers before joining City National Bank. According to an Aug. statement, the bank said that he had been living in Los Angeles. 6.

“Brooks, a young man of extraordinary talent and kindness, will always be remembered for being a remarkable individual. The sudden death of Brooks is a devastating loss for his friends, family and coworkers. We appreciate all the prayers and thoughts that were sent to him from across the country.”

Lambertson visited Washington, D.C. for business. Also killed in the strike Thursday night was a Wisconsin couple who were celebrating their 56th wedding anniversary.

Lambertson received a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Administration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Concentration in Sports Management.
