Former President Donald Trump is back at Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, to deliver the keynote speech.
Trump is slated to start speaking at 6: 30 p.m. Eastern time/5: 30 p.m. Central Time.
Trump addresses the crowd after an extremely successful Tuesday night in which the overwhelming majority of candidates he supported won primaries in Arizona and Missouri.
It is possible that Trump may win another victory , as Joe Kent (Republican from Washington) is expected to defeat Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler(R-WA), who voted in favor of Trump’s impeachment in Washington’s third congressional district primaries.
As of Wednesday, Trump has 172-10 record in endorsement for federal and statewide primary races leading into the 2022 midterm cycle.
While the ex-president hasn’t yet officially announced his candidacy in the 2024 election, he repeatedly suggested that he might.
If Trump decides to run, he appears to have the overwhelming support of Republican voters as a recent Harvard-Harris poll shows Trump leading all other potential primary opponents with a 52 percent majority.
Yesterday, the former president addressed Waukesha in Wisconsin in support of Tim Michels, the candidate for governor.
The CPAC 2022 Texas conference goes from August 4 to 7.
The conference includes many prominent GOP politicians, conservative figures including Senator Ted Cruz (R–TX), Rep. Jim Jordan(R-OH), Rep. Matt Gaetz [R–FL], and Texas Governor. Greg Abbot (R), Republican nominee for Arizona governor Kari Lake, TV host Sean Hannity, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R), Nigel Farage and many other.
The conference was also attended by Viktor Orban, the Prime Minister of Hungary.
