George Soros vows to continue backing Woke Prosecutors, despite the lives they’ve destroyed

.

Billionaire activist George Soros published an editorial in Sunday’s Wall Street Journal Sunday, announcing that he will continue to drop tens to millions in donations in order to elect progressive district attorneys in all 50 states. He claimed, in jest, that these prosecutors make the criminal justice system more effective and just, despite all evidence including skyrocketing crimes and many ruined lives. He wrote:

Americans desperately need a more thoughtful discussion about our response to crime. The demagoguery, divisive attacks by partisans that dominate and obscure discussions have been enough for many.

The ninety-one year-old Hungarian-born financial expert continues to explain that he believes the American justice system unfair.

Yet, our system is riddled with injustices which make us less secure. False notion that justice or safety must be chosen is not true. Both complement each other If people have faith in the justice system ,, it will be successful. Public safety will increase if this system is successful. (Emphasis mine. )

There is an obvious issue with this sentence. Because they are soft on crime, and completely uninterested about the rights of victims, people don’t trust the justice system under the prosecutors that he supports. Soros would likely rush to help the stabbing victim, even if he was in the midst of a disturbed state.

According to the NY Post, Soros has been quite generous:

The Capital Research Center reported in January of this year that Soros has given more than $29 million to left-wing district attorney candidates through a network of political action committees. Larry Krasner, Kim Foxx, Kim Gardner, St. Louis and Kim Ogg, Harris County, Texas are just a few of the other incumbents that have received largesse from Soros.

Here is a gallery from a rogue of people he sent money through his web ofPACs. Each one has horror stories, and RedState reported them:

  • Gascon gave just five months probation to a drugged-out, paroled teen who mowed down a mother and baby in a stolen car;
  • Two El Monte officers were shot and killed by a gang-member out on a Gascon-arranged plea deal;
  • Alvin Bragg charged a bodega worker in Manhattan with murder after he defended himself in an attack, while the attacker’s girlfriend was not charged despite stabbing the employee three times;
  • The Chicago Bears just announced they are moving from downtown’s Soldier Field because of the constant shootings; and,
  • A veteran prosecutor in Kim Foxx’ office resigned with a scathing letter Friday, accusing the office of being “more concerned with political narratives and agendas than with victims and prosecuting violent crime.”

There are many other stories about prosecutors who let loose violent criminals, and then spitting on victims’ faces. It would consume five articles.

Yet Soros want “justice .”

We need to spend more on crime prevention strategies that actually work. These include deploying mental-health specialists in crises situations, funding youth job programs and creating education opportunities behind bars. It reduces the chance that prisoners will be convicted of new criminal acts after their release.

This sounds great and is “justice-y” but what’s the best way to get rid of dangerous felons?

In recent years reform-oriented prosecutors have joined forces with other law enforcement officials across the country to create an agenda that is more efficient and just. To protect victims of violent crime, this agenda prioritizes the resources available to the criminal justice system.

Another case in which a Leftist claims to be able to do one thing but actually does the opposite. These Soros-appointed prosecutors have not only failed to prioritise violent crime and the victims of it, they also sought to increase crime rates. The counter-argument for Bond’s villain:

Some politicians and pundits blame crime spikes on reform-minded prosecutors. Research I have seen shows otherwise. The most rigorous academic study, analyzing data across 35 jurisdictions, shows no connection between the election of reform-minded prosecutors and local crime rates.

What an efficient argument! Wait… What’s the problem? He’s not naming the paper or a statistic. To be honest, I don’t require a research paper in order to see what I’m seeing. I have both eyes and a brain and I can see staggering crime and tragedy. This is also happening at a significant upswing ever since the Defund the Police movement and the waking of prosecutors. To understand what is going on, I don’t have to be a Rhodes Scholar.

Soros ends with something that sounds more like an offer of hope than a threat:

This was why I supported the election and more recently, the reelection of reform-minded prosecutors. It has been transparent and it is not something I intend to stop. My funds allow sensible, reform-minded candidates to be heard by the public. The public seems to like what they hear, judging by these results.

The public doesn’t like the information being presented to them. That is why San Franciscans recall whacko Da Chesa Boudin. And why George Gascon has been voted out. It’s also quite certain that many of the people who are shot in Chicago every weekend don’t like what’s being shown to them.

The American justice system should not be sold to the highest bidder.
