The nation’s military branch recruitment is low at historic levels. This may be because COVID and anti-military culture, as well as woke leaders and COVID are keeping youth away. The President Biden’s failure in Afghanistan will be a topic of conversation for those considering joining the army. Some are asking, “If the Commander-in Chief won’t stand by the military, ?”

The Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve, meanwhile, in early July barred 57,000 troops from their duties and cut their pay and benefits. This is why people are reluctant to serve.
“We are on the cusp of a military recruiting crisis,” Rep. The Army has reached 66 percent of its goal for the fiscal year ending in September, and the Navy is at 89 percent, according to data compiled from October 2021 to May 2022. Even with rates of 100 percent for the Marine Corps, Air Force and Space Force, that leaves the department [of Defense] with a total rate of just 85 percent.
Air Force Gen. Paul J. Selva said in a 2018 speech that “only 1 percent of our population today will ever wear the uniform of this nation in any of its incarnations–soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, active, Guard or Reserve.” We ask a lot out of very few in this country. We are in serious trouble if our recruiting numbers drop.
RedState has reported on the services’ desperate efforts to encourage more volunteers to join, with the Minnesota National Guard placing a $77,000 ad buy in an LGBTQ magazine, and the Army toying with the idea of dropping its requirement that enlistees have a high school diploma or GED, but then realizing what a stupid idea that was and backtracking. Military.com went to press Tuesday with the story of how the Army is giving recruits who fail to meet initial body fat and academic standards a second chance by launching two pilot programs to help them lose weight and/or improve their aptitude test scores.
We’ve also discussed how military leaders are promoting a lot of woke silliness that is not palatable to soldiers or potential soldiers. Alex Parker wrote about how the Army is reportedly going to force women soldiers to take showers with male biological men who are female while the Navy will allow them to choose the locker rooms that best suit their gender identities. The emphasis is also on race.

Imagine that you’re an 18-year-old white Christian man living in Georgia, with a history of military service. You saw Confederate monuments and military bases being demolished, media coverage and the elitist denigrating of your culture and cultural heritage as racist, deplorable, backwards and racists. Military and civilian leadership thought diversity and inclusion (i.e. A lot less white men is the best thing since sliced bread. Do you want to volunteer? It’s possible to identify politics in both directions. You can trash my tribe, and I will not associate with you. It shouldn’t be a shock, then, that those expressing a “great deal of trust and confidence in the military” dropped from 70 percent in 2018 to 45 percent today. (Emphasis mine. )
The military brass has tried everything to alter the dynamic but it seems that nothing is working. This is a worrying situation considering that Russia and China aren’t exactly friendly at the moment. My best advice is to let go of the woke agenda, and make Top Gun: Maverick available for young viewers.
