Biden’s symptoms of COVID “continue to improve substantially,” doctor states

President Biden is in good health despite having COVID-19 and his symptoms continue to improve, his personal doctor said in a note to the White House on Sunday.

Mr. Biden on Saturday completed his third full day of Paxlovid, an antiviral therapy pill to treat COVID-19, Dr. Kevin O’Connor wrote to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

The president continues to take Tylenol as well as his Albuterol Inhaler when he has a cough.

“His symptoms have been improving steadily. Sore throat is his main symptom. The severity of his body pains, including coughing and rhinorrhea has decreased. His voice remains a bit deep. Normal values for his pulse, temperature, blood pressure and respiratory rate are all the same. On room air, his oxygen saturation is still excellent. His lungs remain clear,” Dr. O’Connor wrote. He is not experiencing any shortness of breathing .”

Mr. Biden was positive for the virus and had mild flu symptoms.

He has been vaccinated. He also received two booster shots.
