Analyse: Planned Parenthood’s Negative Track Record with Assault Victims of Abortion

Multiple studies show that Planned Parenthood is the largest provider of abortion in America and has not spoken out about rape victims who visit their abortion clinics.

Democrats assured America after the Supreme Court’s June decision to uphold Roe v. Wade that they were pro-abortion. They argued that restricting abortion was irrevocably hurting women by Republicans and Conservatives.

But Planned Parenthood clinics allegedly covered up crime and returned victims to abusers.

“For six years, Planned Parenthood did everything possible to try to defeat my [legal] claims and drown out my message that, when Planned Parenthood knows or suspects that a young girl is being sexually abused, it must meet its duties under the law and immediately report that abuse to the proper authorities,” Denise Fairbanks said, according to a 2018 Live Action report.

Fairbanks’ father began raping her when she was just 13 years old. At 16, Fairbanks was impregnated and went to a Planned Parenthood clinic for an abortion. Fairbanks was not reported to the clinic and she was sent home by her father who continued her abuse for another year. Fairbanks sued Planned Parenthood. Fairbanks claims that Fairbanks’ conduct is “reprehensible” because it conformed to Planned Parenthood’s ‘don’t ask/don’t tell’ policy. Fairbanks also sued Planned Parenthood . These incidents were not reported to the police.

FYI: “In one case, a girl was impregnated by her father at 14, 16, and 17, but the abortion giant @PPFA, which provided three abortions for the girl, never told authorities.” @KatrinaTrinko writes: https://t.co/k3tVC3Fi07

In 2008, Live Action released undercover footage of employees at the organization posing as 13-year-old girls impregnated by a 31-year-old man. The investigation revealed that eight Planned Parenthood centers in six states had been willing to conceal sexual abuse. They also ignored mandatory reporting laws for suspected sex rape. Facilities also provided instructions on how to circumvent parental consent laws,” Live Action reported.

Live Action reported that former employees of Planned Parenthood confirmed Live Action’s conclusion that abortion providers cover up sexual abuse stories. (RELATED : Rep. Boebert Wants to Ban Abortion Clinics on Federal Lands )

“We weren’t required to report cases of abuse, or for certain, that this child is being abused, so we were discouraged to call it in because we didn’t want the trouble, whether it was the parent who was angry, the boyfriend, or whatever,” Sue Thayer, an ex-Planned Parenthood manager said. So, I received more than one time the message, “No, this is not reportable.” It doesn’t matter if you call it in. ‘”

Monica Cline is a former educator in health who has worked for Planned Parenthood. She said that workers at clinics “adopted George Bush’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” [policy ]…] policy. If we don’t ask her age, she doesn’t need to be told. And so Planned Parenthood actually allows victims of human trafficking to continue to be victims of human trafficking.”

In response to the release of Live Action’s report, 56 lawmakers urged the Department of Health and Human Services to launch a further investigation into Planned Parenthood’s coverup of sexual abuse of minors. According to the lawmakers, they requested that all records, including those from regional offices, regarding suspected child sexual abuse in Planned Parenthood Title X care recipients

be made available. Despite this, Planned Parenthood claims it is an ally for victims of sexual assault.

“Survivors of sexual assault deserve respect,” the organization tweeted in 2018.

An Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) report from 2015 showed that states clinics in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Minnesota and Ohio failed to report sexual abuse of underage girls.

In one case reported by ADF in Ohio, a man raped the 10-year-old daughter of his girlfriend, impregnating her twice. Two times, the girl was referred to Planned Parenthood for an abortion. Both cases were not reported by clinic staff.

Despite claims that abortion is about helping women, Planned Parenthood’s track record shows it ignores sexual abuse victims and returns them to the abusers. Numerous reports show that Planned Parenthood has not been the strong champion for women’s rights as it claimed.
