McConnell: “Democrats Want To Tax Us Into a Recession After Using Us into Inflation”

Thursday’s appearance on FNC’s “Special Report”, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-KY, criticized his congressional Democrat counterparts for their spending bills. He said they contributed to the rising inflationary pressures facing the country.

According to the Kentucky Republican the next step for Democrats was “tax us into recession .”

“Gene “Sperling had a very difficult job trying to defend what was indefensible”, he stated. “There’s one clear reason we are suffering from 40-year-high inflation, the 2.9,- the $1.9 trillion so-called rescue package passed last year in March, without a single Republican vote, which Bill Clinton’s Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers said at the time was going to create record inflation. Jason Furman was President Obama’s top economist and said that it would create record levels of inflation. It has. You saw them the other day. They are still rising. Gene tried his best to defend the undefended.

This inflationary spiral is completely the fault of this all-Democratic administration,” McConnell said. As you suggest, they now want to make matters worse with yet another spending bill. They claim it is a version of BBB that Senator Manchin rejected a year back. They’re also discussing tax increases, which will likely lead to recession, given the Fed’s interest rate hikes. They want us to be taxed into recession after we have been pumped into inflation .
