ANAHEIM (Calif.) – Anaheim Police are seeking the public’s assistance in catching a suspect that pushed an explosive into the house of a woman and injured her.

Police were called at about 5: 40 a.m. Tuesday to the 8000 block of East Far Canyon Way regarding the explosion, Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer said.

The suspect broke glass in order to put the explosive inside the house, Carringer stated. Carringer stated that a woman who lived there heard the glass shatter and that she came downstairs to look, but was struck by the “flying” glass, breaking her hand and foot.

The explosive was left behind by the suspect, and the suspect fled quickly.

” We’re looking into why this could have happened,” Carringer stated. It’s possible that it was totally random .”

The suspect is a 6-foot-tall man who weighs about 180 pounds. The suspect was wearing a dark grey hoodie and jeans with black sneakers. Anyone with information was asked to call detectives at 714-765-1557 or email [email protected].
