A suspect has been taken into custody following a tragic shooting at a July Fourth parade in Chicago’s wealthy suburb. At least six victims have been reported dead by police, with many others being injured.
Another Fourth of July shooting took place in Philadelphia. After being discharged from hospital, two officers were wounded and remain in stable condition. There have not been any arrests.
Boston celebrated its traditional Independence Day on July 4. It featured a parade, as well as a reading of The Declaration of Independence.
