The SCOTUS Rejects ‘Protests’ at Justices’ Home

For months, protesters have marched and behaved like crazy people in front the residences of conservative Supreme Court Justices. After the first leak of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe ., harassment and threats started. This culminated eventually in an assassination attempt on Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Unfortunately there is no power to stop this absurdity and the Supreme Court has mostly remained silent. The court issued a statement on Saturday requesting that the local authorities enforce the laws regarding protests in front of judges’ homes.

It’s absurd that these things can get so out of control. Although I disagree with you, it is possible to argue that protests should not have been permitted until official decisions are made. The term ended on Thursday, and that was it. The Supreme Court cannot now reverse the damage done by public pressure. There’s no way to do that. These protests have no purpose and are threatening threats to court members.

What’s more, Maryland currently has Larry Hogan as its “Republican governor”. He has cowardly remained silent, refusing enforce existing laws. Hogan does have a state police department to turn to if the local authorities don’t do their job. This lawlessness cannot continue.

The rhetoric directed against the Supreme Court only gets more divisive and is coming from the top of the Democrat Party. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez declared that there had been a “judicial coup”, which gives the green light to all kinds of retaliatory actions. If things do not change, someone is bound to be hurt. Law enforcement must also make changes. People have the right to demonstrate on public property. They can’t enter private areas and behave like lunatics.
