A Seattle man was detained for reading the Gospel of Saint Matthew aloud in a park during a Gay Pride *” celebration.
Matthew Meinecke was often called a “street preacher” and was found on public property, reading from the Bible aloud without any amplification. He was then rousted by Seattle’s best and taken into custody.

Meinecke also was arrested for speaking his Bible out loud near a pro Moloch protest last week. Although I don’t know the details, it appears that the Seattle prosecutor doesn’t plan to charge Meinecke. This shows that the real purpose of Meinecke’s arrest was to keep Meinecke quiet so that the Gay Pride group wouldn’t be disturbed.
I will return to an old theme that I have harped upon in the past. Many conservatives believe in the “back-the-blue” mantra to counter the BLM rioting and the “defund police” movement. This is a mistake. This is a mistaken assumption. Police officers are not guarantors for freedom. They are enforcers under the administration state. The main forces that oppose gun rights are police unions and the cliques composed of top-ranking officers. You will find police enforcing some of the most outrageous regulations repeatedly. Police in New York (at least) and New Jersey stopped funerals from being held in private residences during the “pandemic.” People were arrested in vacant parks or on empty beaches. People were not wearing masks when they were arrested. Similar problems exist with their record in protecting Christians’ First Amendment rights. Dearborn, Michigan had to settle a large amount because police detained Christian preachers at a Muslim street festival. In “Pride,” police from Coeur d’Alene had threatened to arrest Christian preachers who were presenting a counter message to the evil going on. The police stand by the check-writers. Period. You are wrong to think that you can depend on the police as an advocate for your rights against a hostile government. You should reconsider your political views if you support the police who treat street preachers and hooded Antifa thuglets like a privileged group. Only law enforcement that is keeping our communities safe should be supported. We owe nothing to them beyond that. They have lost the right of our support if they violate Gay Pride laws to protect gay pride organizers.
*Pride is, fittingly, one of the Seven Deadly Sins and one that theologians have, across the centuries, declared to be the deadliest sin–celebrating this sin in conjunction with one of the four sins that, according to Scripture, “cries to Heaven for vengeance” seems appropriate.
