President Historian Blames Liz Cheney for Attacking GOP in Reagan Library Speech

A longtime Republican claimed that Liz Cheney, the Republican Representative from Wyoming, is making a career out of criticizing the GOP on Thursday nights at Fox News.

“When she announced that she would speak at Reagan Library, I thought of Reagan’s famous 11th commandment, “Thou shalt never speak ill of another Republican,” Craig Shirley told Laura Ingraham. She’s made it a profession – at most recently – to speak ill about fellow Republicans and not only Donald Trump. So why they would have her there, I have no idea.” (RELATED: Pollster Dumps Cold Water On Dem Hopes Their Jan. 6th Theater Will Sway Voters)

Cheney, an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump, is one of two Republicans appointed to the Jan. 6 Select Committee by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who earlier blocked Republican Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana from serving on the committee.

Cheney called Trump a “domestic menace” and said that he seeks “to unravel the foundations of the Constitutional Republic.” He then claimed that many Republicans had “made themselves available hostages to this dangerous, irrational person” at a Wednesday speech held at the Reagan Library.

Her disapproval ratings have outperformed 70% according to CNN.

Shiley said that the Reagan Library wouldn’t see any Republican debate after Cheney spoke.

Cheney declined to respond through a spokesperson when The Daily Caller News Foundation contacted him.
