Fox News Channel’s Friday broadcast featured Senior Advisor to President Joe Biden Gene Sperling stating that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was “a star in the Cabinet” due to his achievements in getting funds out of the infrastructure bill, and “funds out for aviation manufacturing that were part of the American Rescue Plan which has strengthened supply chain across the board .”
Sperling said, “We have tremendous confidence in Secretary Buttigieg. This Cabinet .”
is his shining star.
Host Martha MacCallum asked, “What’s that based upon, sir?” What accomplishments do you base this on? What accomplishments do you base that? What accomplishments would you like to point out ?”

Sperling replied, “We have an Infrastructure Bill going out on the which he has done an immense amount. A bipartisan infrastructure bill which he has done an incredible amount to get funding out. The American Rescue Plan, which has strengthened supply chain chains throughout the country, provided funds for aviation manufacturing. What I am saying is that I won’t be front-running Secretary Buttigieg. These issues will be addressed by him. I will let him handle that .”
