After Miles Bridges, Charlotte Hornets forward was arrested on Tuesday afternoon, his wife uploaded images showing the injuries she claims she sustained at his hands.
Saying that she can’t keep silent any longer, Mychelle Johnson posted photos of the bruises and scrapes she claims she suffered in an altercation she had with Outkick.
The photos were taken at a hospital ER. Johnson also added a scan from the discharge paper which listed the injuries to be due to “physical abuse” by a male partner .”
The hospital records report that injuries included assault by strangulation and brain concussion. They also include fractures of the nasal bone, brain contusion, multiple bruises, and strains of the neck.
Johnson wrote in an Instagram message that she was horrified at the situation and couldn’t stop crying. I have allowed someone to ruin my house, abuse me and terrorize our children for the rest of their lives .”
She claimed that people around her player have encouraged her to keep silent about the abuses she has suffered. She called them “unethical,” immoral, and “truly sick .”
She continued, saying, “As terrifying as this may be for me, it’s now that I stand up for my self. Because I care about my children and myself more than any ‘image’, I will not be silent in protecting others. ‘”
Bridges was arrested on Wednesday for felony domestic violence. He was released shortly after posting $130,000 bail.
The 24-year-old was arrested one day before the NBA free agency, and just before he was about to sign a contract for $100 million or more.
The Hornets stated that they would not comment on this case until further information is available.
